A healthy rest is what the body needs after a long day’s work or a whole day of activities. Sleeping is the time wherein our own body heals itself. This is also the time wherein our minds are developing. As for Fat Loss, or Weight Loss, sleeping is very essential. If you rest sufficiently, the body will do it’s part in keeping our system in tip-top shape, thus, helping in weight or fat reduction. Most of the people who sleep less, are prone to carry extra weight/fats in their bodies. Time and again, this has been proven on studies conducted by scientists. I may not be able to point out a reference on the studies conducted. I myself for one had this bad experience with insufficient sleep. I once got hooked with online gaming, which stole my precious sleeping time. This resulted to weight gain and together with that, is Hypertension. This, i believe, was the result of “eating” whenever i feel tired and stressed out. This resulted to my bout with High Blood Pressure almost every week. Whenever i feel that the world is “shaking”, i used to hold on to the machines that i was maintaining at work. When i saw the doctor, i was given medicines for me to take for my High Blood Pressure. He told me that i will be taking the medicine everyday for the rest of my life. At first, I believed him, because he is a doctor. I then thought to myself that I did not have High Blood Pressure before, it just “happened” to me when i started to get my sleep messed up. I stopped taking the medicines, I exercised, and disciplined myself by sleeping 7 to 8 hours a day. And guess what? My High Blood Pressure disappeared! The doctor asked me what i did and i told him everything. He monitored my BP for 2 months straight, and told me to stop my medication (he didn’t know that i stopped taking medication even before he told me to )
